The Old Macaroni Factory and renowned local restaurant, The Surly Goat, have teamed up to offer a complete venue and catering package from the relaxed and casual to an intimate dining experience.

The Surly Goat specialises in seasonal, local and sustainably grown foods and is prepared and served by a highly respected experienced team.

Celebration Details

Your menu selection, dietary requirements and any other related requests are required sixty (60) days prior to your celebration.  We are unable to guarantee food selections or specific requirements after this time.

Upon booking your celebration, please provide an accurate number of anticipated guests attending.  Final confirmation of numbers is required prior to the final invoice being issued thirty (30) days prior to the event date.  Any changes to guest numbers after this date may only be amended by 10%.   We will endeavour to accommodate any last-minute additional guests; however, we cannot guarantee it will be possible.

Menu & Availability

Due to seasonal availability, and circumstances that may be beyond our control, menu options may not always be available.  In such cases, The Surly Goat reserves the right to present/select an appropriate alternative.  We will endeavour to provide you with at least seven (7) days’ notice of any changes, though in some circumstances we may not be able to do so.

Dietary Requirements

The Surly Goat caters for vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free, lactose-free, along with other allergies and intolerances.  We are unable to cater to personal preferences.  Replacement dishes where required for allergens and dietary restrictions are provided on a Chef’s selection basis.  (If 20% or more of your party have one specific dietary requirement, the sharing menu selections are required to reflect that for the entire group).

Florist

We are working with our local Florist, Elissa Dannock of Larkspur Flowers. Elissa’s approach is to use ethnically sourced flowers and sustainable materials to create elegant and playful designs.
 

Booking – Deposit & Payment

Your booking will be confirmed by email.  Any changes will need to be confirmed in writing, and final consent remains with Old Macaroni Factory and The Surly Goat.

A deposit is required to confirm your booking, with the balance to be paid in full 30 days prior to the event

Preferred payment is by EFT – bank details will be provided upon booking confirmation

In the event you need to cancel your event, notification of:

• Cancellations made three (3) months prior to the event date will forfeit the deposit paid upon booking.

• Cancellations made within thirty (30) days prior to the event date will incur the full cost of the invoice.

Events that are rescheduled will not forfeit the deposit, however updated rates may apply and are subject to availability.

The Old Macaroni Factory and The Surly Goat or their representatives, are exempted from liability for delays to a booked function that is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (eg extreme weather events).   Every attempt will be made to reschedule any event affected.

The Old Macaroni Factory reserves the right to cancel a booking nine (9) months or longer from the booked date.

Other

Our private residence is located on the property, and we kindly request our privacy be respected.

As we are within a residential area, please ask your guests to be mindful of noise on departure.  Any excessive noise deemed disruptive to nearby residents must cease when advised by management.

To ensure your comfort and safety we ask all guests and their agents to be mindful and comply with our terms and conditions and additional instructions when provided.

The Old Macaroni Factory, is a listed Heritage Victoria property (buildings & gardens) – we ask that you and your guests respect the history of the property.  This status involves strict conditions to protect existing features; therefore, we are unable to allow any fixings to the walls, floors or ceilings, dance floor or amplified live music.

Due to the heritage nature of the property, we are an adult(16yo+) only venue.

The buildings and grounds of the Old Macaroni Factory are NON-Smoking.

All items are to be supplied by the Old Macaroni Factory and/or their approved contractors/suppliers (eg flowers).   Patrons are not permitted to bring additional decorations, without prior approval.   No item can be fixed or interfere with the building.

The booking patron is liable for any damages to venue property or grounds caused by their guests or agents.

We reserve the right to request security for an event and close an event if required for safety.  We also reserve the right to ask any person behaving in an irresponsible manner to leave an event.

The person who signs the booking form is responsible for the behavior of guests.  That person will be liable for the cost of any damage incurred at the venue during the function.  Personal belongings and gifts brought to the venue are solely the owner’s responsibility.

The Old Macaroni Factory and The Surly Goat, or their representatives, are not liable for personalbelongings and gifts brought to the property, any loss, damage or cost arising directly or indirectly in connection with your function.
